After a few months of constant running and testing, TBD Squad now have a server running 24/7. It hosts a range of missions created by the Squad as well as a couple of Foothold Missions.

The server is most active on Monday and Thursday evenings from 20:00 until 22:30. The missions are objective based on the Georgia, Syria, Persian Gulf and Marianas maps. The missions have been built with Mist and Moose scrips. These include, Skynet Integrated Air Defence Systems (IADS). They also include dynamic spawning and direction of AI air threats for PvE engagements. Additionally, there are slots for PvP. Missions are aimed at requiring co-operation and co-ordination of flights.

“It was great, mate. I’ll happily lase from afar again if you’d like, next time I’m bringing Stinger missiles though. Not sure how I survived the AA missiles flying through that town…“

The server is running on an old workstation. Performance is stable, with 32GB RAM, an i5 4590 and new SSDs. It’s been tested with a number of players participating in a range of tasks. With dynamic scripts running and large formations of WW2 bombers attacking targets. The connection has held up well and power consumption is low. In addition to the specs, the server is also running Olympus and SRS for comms.
